Briannah Donolo was discovered when her performance of the national anthem at a Canadiens de Montréal game went viral. The next day, every label was calling with a pitch to turn her into the perfect pop star… but Briannah had other plans. She retreated to her hometown of Montréal, adopted the moniker “Rêve” (French for ‘dream’), and began to hone her craft on her own terms.
Rêve fell in love with dance music after learning how the right song could transform a club into heaven. Since then, she has written songs to capture and share that euphoria. In 2020, Rêve connected with Montréal production duo Banx & Ranx (Dua Lipa, Sia, Little Mix, Sean Paul), which she credits as her greatest creative turning point. Rêve made her label debut in June 2021 via Universal Music Canada and Astralwerks, releasing "Still Dancing," her first collaboration with Banx & Ranx, who co-sign her to UMC via their label 31 East.
Rêve has flourished as one of this generation's most promising dance-pop artists, amassing over 110M global streams before she has even dropped her debut album. Rêve got her first #1 US Dance radio hit with "Whitney" and her Canadian chart-topping track "CTRL + ALT + DEL” went Platinum just 8 months after release. "CTRL + ALT + DEL” was also featured on Canada's Drag Race and took home Dance Recording of the Year at the 2023 JUNOs.
Rêve’s latest single “BIG BOOM” single sets the stage for her debut album. In her own words, “it’s an anthem made for sweltering nights where the vibe is high surrounded by the people you love.” “BIG BOOM” arrives just in time for Pride Month with Rêve performing at this year’s Toronto Pride Festival on June 23.
