From: Waterdown, Ontario
Genre: Country
For fans of: Morgan Wallen, Sam Hunt, Jordan Davis, Chase Rice

One of Nashville’s most exciting new talents, Josh Ross is turning heads through timeless country songs with a pop-rock twist. Hailing from Waterdown, Ontario, Josh Ross explores classic country themes from the perspective of his own whirlwind experiences. From moving to Nashville on the night of a tornado, to leaving only a month later when a global pandemic arrived, Josh Ross has the grit and determination to make his way through whatever cards he’s dealt. His music career itself came about after the college football star injured his ankle and decided to turn to music as a new outlet.

Turns out, Josh was destined to be in front of a stadium someday, if not as a football player then as a musician. His independently released debut single “First Taste Of Gone” became a Top 5 chart-topping hit and propelled him headfirst into a music career, later signing to Universal Music Canada and partnering with Universal Music Group Nashville. Today Josh Ross has a bustling catalog of hits with over 130M global streams. This includes his last single “Red Flags,” his Top 5 Canadian radio hit “On A Different Night,” the introspective “Trouble,” and his latest smash “Ain’t Doin’ Jack” is out today.

Just this week, Josh was nominated for 6 Canadian Country Music Awards—the most of any artist in 2023. His nominations include Fan’s Choice, Male Artist of the Year, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Video of the Year.

Carving out his place in Country music on both sides of the border, Josh has toured with Lee Brice and Chase Rice. And fans can catch him on the road this summer across North America with Nickelback and Brantley Gilbert and in Nashville for his Opry debut later this month. Be sure to check out “Ain’t Doin’ Jack” and stay tuned for much more from Josh Ross as he continues anchoring himself as one of this generation’s most promising country artists.
